Boarding and Daycare in a Stress-Free Home Environment!
Noisy kennels can be stressful for some dogs. Home boarding may be a great option for yours! I offer boarding and daycare in Louisville, KY. During my formative years working with dogs, I learned how to care for pet dogs in a kennel environment: keeping kennels and personal items clean, making sure activities were routinely competed, and overall keeping the dogs’ wellbeing at the forefront of my mind. I enjoyed the hard work and physical activity that went into it and knowing the animals in my care were being treated with love. I learned so much from handling so many different types of dogs!
Overnight Boarding
$35/day for 1st dog. $20/day per additional dog
For pre-approved dogs only. I offer boarding in a comfy, home environment with my other dogs. I have a 6′ wooden fenced-in backyard. Your dog will be provided its own kennel, food and water bowls, bedding (if allowed), and toys. All items are sanitizes between guests. I ask that your dog’s personal bedding, bowls, and toys be left at home to avoid damage or loss (dogs will be dogs!). If your dog is dropped off after 6pm then that day won’t be counted. If the dog is picked up before 8am, that day will not be counted. Sunday pick-ups or drop-offs are from 4pm-7pm by appointment only. I am currently not accepting dogs who are not potty-trained. All dogs must be leashed with standard leashes (no flexi / retractable leashes or long lines) when arriving or leaving the house. Please fill out a pre-approval request form prior to booking in order to get pre-approved.

Daycare or Day Boarding

For pre-approved dogs only. Drop off your dog for a day of Daycare fun! No training, just playtime with other dogs at my home and fenced-in backyard. Great for those with busy work schedules to allow safe socialization with other dogs and to let out some energy. If your dog is uneasy around others, you also have the option to Day Board without interaction with other dogs. Daycare or Day Boarding does not include meals or medication administration. Please fill out a pre-approval request form prior to booking in order to get pre-approved.

Nalley loves his accommodations at Dirigo when I travel. I know he’s safe, will be loved and well taken care of. Michaela is a pro with all under her care. Before we get to the driveway, as soon as we pull on her street, he starts getting excited and when he gets out of the car he can’t wait to get to the door and see her. It’s his home away from home.
Michaela does a great job working with all breeds of dogs. She most recently helped me out with dog walking services while I traveled. She was easy to communicate with, prompt, and followed all instructions. Plus, my pups love her!
I most certainly do recommend Michaela/Dirigo!!!!! When we couldn’t take our Carta to her, when we had to find sec choice, we dropped her off & I cried, I’d never cry with Michaela! She’s absolutely amazing in so many ways – love, patience, knowledge, experience & more whether boarding, training, or grooming!! She’s one of our big baby’s best friends!!!!
I highly recommend Dirigo Training and Boarding, I used them for training during my first year with my Airedale Terrier puppy and it has made THE WORLD of difference. She now listens, she’s obedient, she’s calm, she’s responsive, she is a pure angel. It is so worth it. I now feel comfortable taking my Airedale anywhere and she is an absolute delight. Same cute personality, just better behaved. I also have used Dirigo multiple times for boarding and she always comes back safe and happy. I trust Dirigo whole heartedly with my pet.
